About

The Barbara and George Cromwell Center for Teaching and Learning at Washington College fosters a culture of reflection about teaching and promotes development in teaching across the disciplines. The Cromwell Center supports the instructional improvement efforts of Washington College’s teaching community, initiates programs and activities that enrich and improve teaching and learning, and facilitates partnerships and collaborations with a broad range of groups and colleagues. The Center seeks to cultivate an institutional climate that values, rewards, and supports the teacher-scholars of Washington College throughout their careers. In our events and programs, we focus on fostering inclusivity, encouraging innovation, and building communities of teacher-scholars.
