CTL Bitesize: Integrating Open Educational Resources for Student Success – Kelly Banyas, Alex Baker, and Andrea Boothby Rice

This workshop aims to promote the integration of OER, such as textbooks, presentations, quizzes, multimedia, interactive simulations, writing prompts, and much more, to ensure equitable access and student success. In this session, we’ll conduct an overview of different types of OER, where you can find them, and survey different platforms for delivery. We’ll also cover how ancillary materials can be integrated with your textbook or used to align your content to course outcomes. We will also address common concerns around copyright and fair use, as defined by the American Library Association. We’ll share best practices and explain what constitutes fair use within higher education.
